West VA BANS tethering in one county!

Our bordering state, West Virginia, has enacted an ordinance that bans tethering in one county and is considering, within the next several weeks, one that limits tethering in another county.

If you know anyone from Morgan County, WV please pass along these link so that they can help with the passage of this important legislation.

Maryland has law against cruelty towards animals

Are you aware that Maryland has a law against cruelty toward animals and the penalty is a felony carrying up to 3 years jail time and a $5,000 fine? Click here to view the code for Maryland. We as animal welfare advocates must continue speak for animals whose voices can’t be heard.

We must to plead with the district attorney’s office and sitting judges to use the law when prosecuting and sentencing those who commit acts of cruelty toward animals. If you are in Frederick County please consider attending the hearing for Zoey.
